What to expect.

Arrival

When you enter the auditorium there is no significance to seating - please sit where you prefer. Service will begin with a welcome, musical worship, and a short prayer. Pastor Cal will then speak for 30 minutes, doing his best to keep the message interesting, enjoyable, and relevant to everyday life. The message is based on the Bible, and if the job is done right, you'll hear solid Christian theology in intelligent, understandable, and relevant terms. Mid-service we take offering, our offering is for those calling Lantana Community  their church home...as our guest, your gift is simply your presence. Please don't feel obligated to participate in the offering. Service will end after approximately 75 minutes. Church is about God and worship, but it's also about community and friendship, so we hope people really experience warmth and friendliness at Lantana Community Church!

Astmosphere & Music

When you get to the church, you will be greeted with a friendly face ready to answer any questions! We are very casual so please feel free to dress comfortably. All types of people and dress are welcome at Lantana Community Church. If you want to wear a suit or heels, or jeans and a t-shirt, you’ll feel right at home here. Also, if you'd like to arrive early we have free coffee and donuts in the lobby!

At Lantana Community Church, we will sing songs declaring who God is in our lives. The type of music is contemporary and we will sing songs by a variety of musicians and bands. During our time of worship through music together, we might sing worship classics, hymns, or fresh new songs. For us it’s not about the style, but what God has done in our lives.

Coffee & Donuts

At Lantana Commuity Church, we love coffee! We believe coffee is great for bringing people together. We also believe coffee can do so much more. We have partnered with the Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee company. Every cup that we brew helps support their mission which is to help small-scale coffee farmers in Rwanda to provide better wages, for a better future. You will also find a variety of doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. So grab a donut and some coffee and enjoy some friendly conversation.

Kids

We have great activities and environments on the weekend for kids and students to grow in their relationships with God and each other! If you have children the greeters will show you where to drop them off for their Sunday Program. Afterwards, you'll pick up children from their classrooms. Of course, if you or your kids aren’t comfortable going to their own program during your first few visits, they are always welcome in the main auditorium. Who we are.

The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.

The West Texas District Church of the Nazarene is a multicultural family of roughly 100 congregations, Church-Type Missions, Parent-Affiliated Congregations and Compassionate Ministry Centers located throughout the northwestern third of Texas. Our district covers almost 100,000 square miles, from Fort Worth in the east, to Lubbock, Amarillo, and Dalhart in the Texas Panhandle. We are united in our desire to share the joy of forgiveness and deliverance found in relationship with Jesus Christ. Click here to learn more about our district.
